What post format does a Reblog take?
What post format does a re-blog take? i.e., Does it default to a regular post, an aside, a link, etc?
It would make sense to me that re-blogged posts default as links when the post format is available, but I don’t think this is the case. Perhaps this could be a feature improvement that wp.com can think about in the future?

I’m sorry but I’m not a reblogging fan and I don’t have an answer for you. I tagged this thread for a Staff response.
A reblog is treated like a regular post, however, the only content you can edit on that post is any text/comments that have been added when it was reblogged. The original content cannot be modified, nor can the link to the original content be removed.
I hope that clarifies things! Let me know if you have any questions.
Really? It looks like an Aside to me.
I’ve tested to verify, and a reblog is posted as a Standard format post on your blog regardless of the original post format.
I hope that helps!
(fwiw, the support-bot was a bit finicky as it’s a domain-mapped wp.com blog.)
