WHERE are the Plugins? Facebook

  1. Hey guys, thanks for your assistance...very bigginer here!
Okey, dont know what it means Self-hosted but I have my own domain .com mapped to wordpress. I´ve heard you can put the Like plug in on your blog, but CANT FIND THE PLUG INS in my dashbord !
    Help please!

The blog I need help with is

  2. There is no FTP access to our free hosted blogs and we bloggers can't install plugins for security reasons. Also note that there is no upgrade you can purchase that allows FTP access and the ability to install plugins. Only those with installs can use plugins

  3. I dont have a free version...I have a hosted wordpress , its, bought the domain at godaddy and then mapped it to the full upgrade wordpress...

I will see the links you gave me now.
I did install a widdget with a like box though...

  4. The blog that is being domain mapped is a free hosted blog.

  5. no...I payed $99 for the upgrade , i dont understand.

  6. i got the $99 least thats what I think . The purchase did come through.

  7. Purchasing a domain name and a domain mapping upgrade does not change the fact that this blog is is a free hosted blog. It's just like both of my blogs which are also being domain mapped. There is no FTP access to any free hosted ed blogs.

  8. This is what the bundle you purchased includes:

  9. Okey, so Im confused then... how do I get a hosted version then, and is it worht it? Is the content in this version safe? is it mine?
Sorry to bombard you with this, cause Im following a course of blog and marketing and Im going nuts!!!!

  10. The differences between free hosted blogs and installs are here >

I flagged this thread for Staff support. Please be patient while waiting for them to explain this to you.

  11. Oh thank you so much...I feel my brain is going to explote ! Though I speak english fluently, all the tech talk about blogging and stuff is too new, and confusing. THANKS so much

  12. Looks like timethief has already helped you a lot. If you need any further assistance, just let us know. Your bundle is refundable for up to 30 days after purchase, and any custom domain name registration, for up to 48 hours.

  13. Kathruwp... I think its easier if I star all over... how can I get the refund?

I need the hosted version that comes through

I dont know what the difference is, just that in the course Im taking with they asked for the hosted version of wordpress.

I made a mess cause I did not see it on godaddy PLUS my domain name was taken for so I asumed that buying a bundle would mean hosting. Guess not !

So greatfull for your assistance and patience

  14. Hi again
Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrades, you can request a refund yourself directly from the Store section of your Dashboard
    If applicable see also

  15. It looks like you already obtained your refund. If you still need any help, just let me know.

  16. Thanks ! Small question: I read somewhere that wordpress has a nother name in the bank reciept , billing info or so, cause It seems the refund hasnt come through yet on the account yet. I know its not the pay pal it when purchasing, cant find it now.

  17. is run by Automattic.
    > Store > Billing History

  18. Yes I do see the reciet but not the name of the company that charges, just the pay pal number, even viewing to print. So then, the bank must have the refund of AUTOMATTIC wright? Will check this tomorrow at the bank.

  19. This thread is tagged so Staff help you get your refund.

  20. I have a limit on the credit card. I know the purchase I did on wordpress was the limit, but I cant seem to get another purchase through, so I asume the refund at the bank is not active. I need the info to get info about it tomorrow.

  21. Refunds can take 1-2 weeks to be reflected on your statement.

  22. That long? Okey, thanks so much for your assistance, youve been very helpfull and patiente. Thanks

  23. No problem. Just let us know if you need further help.
