where do I embed the code from bublaa to get my forum up on my wordpress site?
Please help, I would prefer to speak with someone, I can’t find a number to anyone at wordpress… and I keep getting directed to this info for installation and I can’t find in my dashboard where to find this:
This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working.
Download the Bublaa Plugin
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
A new Page called ‘forum’ is automatically created. Go to the ‘forum’ page and finish creating your personalized forum.
Thank you to who every can help me, I just spent 6 hours searching and being redirected to the same places that wasn’t very productive ;
The blog I need help with is bevolvedisland.wordpress.com.
Those instructions do not apply to a free hosted WordPress.COM blog. They apply only to WordPress.ORG installs. There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.com blogs.
See here for a full comparison WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
There is no upgrade you can purchase here that provides FTP access and the ability to install plugins and or any third party themes.
If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install.
For your WordPress.COM blog you have three free workaround forum options: http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/04/23/wordpress-com-forum-options/
One approach is to register a forum on the internet and then create a custom menu in your blog and include a custom link to the forum in it.
a custom link to the forum in it.
Thank you for the clarity around this, as you can tell I’m not so savvy around this. I will have a look into the inks you’ve provided and see what my best options at this point are.
You’re welcome and best wishes.
