Where do I find my blog subscribers information?
Starting a newsletter and want to offer newsletter subscription to my blog subscribers.
Followers are the number of readers following your blog and blog posts comments.
Your followers receive an update, either on their Read Blogs page or via email (or both, depending on their settings). There are several different ways that readers can start following your blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/followers/
Go to your site stats page and click “Totals, Followers & Shares”
Click the Blog link under the number and the Site Stats » My Followers page will open. Click the Email Followers link.
The subscriber stats on your site stats page show you all the users that have active email subscriptions to your blog using the built-in email notification system on WordPress.com. They don’t include users that subscribed using a third-party subscription service or using RSS.
You can set up a customized contact form http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/ on a static page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ or in a text widget http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/ and above that form you can clearly state that you are asking for those who wish to have their email address “captured” to use it.
Note 1: You cannot obtain any information that personally identifies any of your followers. This is a privacy issue. What’s required for registering here is an email address only. That email address is for many of us a throwaway email address.
Note 2: This may sound “heavy” but I think it’s important to recognize that when an email address is provided for a specific purpose, such as for receiving posts from a blog or submitting a comment to a blog, that is the only purpose it is being provided for, and any additional use of it is unauthorized. In Canada it’s illegal to use an email address for any purpose other than the specific purpose it was provided for.
You’re welcome. :)
