I have a friend who use to be a tri-athlete until a drunk driver knocked him off his bike. He has a brain injury and is the most inspirational person I have ever met.

This week he launched a blog. He just has the wordpress default theme Twenty Eleven and we cannot find the “follow” widget. Can someone help me to help him. He has a story to tell and it needs to be heard. Thanks fellow bloggers!

The blog I need help with is toplessdrivers.com.

The Follow widget and the share buttons are two different things. These pages should help you and your friend:

And this page has links to various things that can help publicise the blog:

    Good luck to you both.

Are you sure your friend has a free hosted WordPress.com blogs? I’m asking because the WordPress.org isntalls default theme is also Twenty Eleven and those blogs are not a pst of the WordPress.com community for there is no WordPress.com follow blog widget. Timethief, I think you are right. Let me see how he is getting on.

I’m still working on solving my problem, but I discovered that for some reason my sidebar widgets disappear to the bottom of my theme. I haven’t figured out how to resolve it yet but perhaps the same thing is happening to your friend’s site.

If your friend was having the same problem I did, I fixed it with this information: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2012/05/19/sidebar-at-the-bottom-and-related-issues/

Thanks to everyone above. He does have a .org blog. I have sent him the .org support forum and he is going to work through the lessons on that page.

    Have a great weekend.
