White 'bar' on screen.
I know that this is not really a WordPress thing, but I’m being driven nuts and hope that somebody can help me please.
Sometimes – most of the time, actually, – when scrolling down on my blogs, I get this white ‘bar’ thing across the picture, as shown by the screen-capture above.
Pleeeeease can anybody tell me what the heck it is? I have a vague feeling that it is something to do with a Vodpod ‘add this’ thing that I once put on my site and now cannot find how to remove. I say this because it is about the same dimensions as the Vodpod thing was. I don’t want to get rid of Vodpod because I use it quite often.
The blog I need help with is dickiebo.wordpress.com.
Hi. Have you tried temporarily disabling the VodPod add-on on your browser (just to see if that causes the problem)?
No, because I was afraid I might lose what I have with on Vodpod. However, Ithink I’m gonna have to try! Thanks.
Just tried disabling and…bingo!, that seems to have cleared it! I shall leave it for a day or so to see whether it really has fixed it, then perhaps I shall try and enable again. Again, thanks.
How did you disable the Vodpod?
I went into Vodpod, then clicked on ‘Settings’, then I deleted the Website Address.
I’m having the same white bar issue on my page and i don’t believe i even have Vodpod??
I still get the white bar, but not very often!!! Frankly, I haven’t a clue as to why it sometimes comes. Sorry.
F.Y.I, if your using firefox, vodpod replaced its extension, with a drag an drop bookmarklet (works like the wordpress, com “press this!” book marklet).
you don’t the browser extension, anymore.
Thanks for the feedback! Wish me luck.
