Why am I not able to post comments?

    When I try to post comments, they just disappear as if they’ve not been written. I’ve tried refreshing the page, but that doesn’t help. This has been a problem for the last few days, over both the website, and my iPad app.

    The blog I need help with is walktheselftalk.com.

    Are these comments on your WordPress.com site, or another site hosted by WordPress.com? Or perhaps somewhere in the Forums?

    I am trying to comment in other blogs on WordPress.com. Up until a few days ago this wasn’t a problem, but now I seem unable to do so.

    Is there a particular site you’re trying to comment on where it is unsuccessful? Is this happening on all WordPress.com sites, including your own?

    It’s happening on quite a few WordPress.com sites. I’ve not tried to comment on my own recently.

    Could you link me to some of the sites you’ve tried commenting on? You may have been unintentionally bounced into the Spam folder, which is a problem we can solve!

    Powerofpies.wordpress.com
    Uniquesochic.com

    These are three of the blogs where the comments disappear. There are probably many more. I can confirm that on the uniquesochic.com at least, my comment did go into the spam folder.

    You’re right, it looks like your comments are being erroneously directed to the Spam folders – sorry about that! This is a new issue with some of our UK based users, and I’ve marked your account as one of those being effected.

    It should be resolved soon. If you find your comments are still being tagged as Spam in about a week, please reply here and we can take further measures.

    In doing some additional research, it looks like this is not an issue that is isolated to the UK. The best course of action would be for you to send an email to support@akismet.com – this will help us get your account straightened out, as well as gather some more data for ongoing troubleshooting.
