Why aren't my posts showing up with the words I tag?

  1. eatingdisorderstuff

My posts aren't showing up in the reader under the words I tag them with. Yes, I follow the tag guidelines (I usually only tag up to ten words). I recently posted this question about a week ago and was told I had linked something that was against the rules and that staff would "unflag" me so my posts would show up. I also removed the link.

Does it just take a while for my blog to start circulating again or did I break another rule I was unaware of?

The blog I need help with is

    Help anyone?

  3. You do have a tag which is unique to your blog. Staff have said if that's the case, you can be left off the tag pages. There was a blog here called X and her username was X and she tagged every post X, and staff told her that's why she's not in the tag pages.

  4. I'm having the same problem with the post I published today. My readers who follow via email can see the post, but the people who have me on their 'follow' list can't see it in their Reader, nor is it showing up in the Reader for the tag pages. If it's a matter of having a tag that's unique to my blog, why don't ALL my posts disappear from the Reader? Why just this one? Grrr!

  5. You used the Sex tag, and have a blog which should be in the Mature category. Staff told me that using that tag or the Porn tag automatically excludes you from the tag pages. Probably your entire blog will be marked Mature (it isn't right now) by staff and then none of the tags you use will show your posts on the tag page. The Reader should still work for people subscribed to your blog in particular though.

Tag pages never did amount to much traffic, so it's not a big deal.

If I remove the tag, can my posts be put back into the reader? I find a lot of my followers found me via the tags based on the subject of my blog (eating disorders) so contrary to what you say it is a big deal to me.

  7. eatingdisorderstuff

Update: All tags relating to "sex" have been removed. The primary subject of my blog is eating disorders. I would like my blog to remain able to be seen in the reader via tags if I can help it.

  8. Putting things "back into the reader" is almost meaningless, since they will go back at the place where they would have appeared first, ie back way in time.

You don't need to tag your posts with your name anyways. Stop, and within a few weeks people should come to your blog by the tag pages.

I understand putting things back into the reader will put them where they appeared first, but I'd still like my future posts to show up with my tags.

I guess at this point I would simply like to know whether or not my blog is still flagged and whether or not it's going to marked as mature.

Thanks for trying to help and sorry if I'm misunderstanding anything.

I'm sorry for continuing to re-open this post, but I don't want to spam the forum with new posts for the same questions.

I understand why my posts are no longer showing up in the reader, but I don't feel like I'm getting adequate support in rectifying the situation.

I feel I've made the necessary changes in my tags to remove anything against the rules and/or making my blog mature.

-Will my blog be marked as mature?
    -Is my blog still flagged?
-Will my blog show up under what I tag them under?

Is it possible to please get answers to these questions?

  11. Will you please check out the reasons for non-appearance here >

If you have assigned too many Tags to the posts then you need to edit and delete. After removal of excessive Categories and/or Tags note it may take several days for your posts to begin displaying there.

This thread is now tagged for Staff attention. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  12. I just found your post in the Reader so I removed the tag for Staff:

    Hi timethief,

I've already read those things, and as of this point, I don't think I'm breaking any of those rules.

My questions above still have not been answered.

And I still can't find my posts in the reader. Is there any specific reason as to why you can see them and I cannot?

  14. If TT says she can see them there, have no doubt they are there. It sounds like your issue is resolved.

I'm still unable to see them under the tags I post, but I'll go ahead and assume everyone else can.
