Why can't I open up Reader?

  1. Help, for some reason every time I go to reader I cannot get it to open.. it just sits there busy and nothing will display... what can I do for my reader to show up?

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS:

    The blog I need help with is

    I am using Safari 5.0.6, and noticed as far back as November 2012, that I can no longer open Reader, or the Blogs I Follow. Sometimes Freshly Pressed doesn't open as well.

    I went to a local library to log into my Blog, and even the system they use had a hard time loading Reader.

    I use MAC OS X Version 10.5.8 (Leopard). Should I upgrade Safari, and/or my hardware?
