why customize themes doesn´t work?

  • customize themes doesn´t work
When click on customize button theme the page clog

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

I do not use the theme customizer. All of the very same functions can be accessed from your dashboard.
    Appearance > Header
    Apperance > Background
Appearance > Theme Options (applicable only to some themes)
Settings > Reading (set a static front page)
Site Title and Tagline > Settings > General

  • that seems not to be the problem Cookies are ok, I try on firefox, safari and IE ALL cookies enabled, anyone work on customize theme

  • But the point is you don’t really need the customizer. See this post of mine:

    The customizer and other settings/options

  • The Appearance → Themes → Customize section will not load if you have not yet published any content on your blog. To make sure that’s not the problem, you should follow the instructions in this help page:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/

Also, if you are using the “Try Now” preview mode for the paid Custom Design upgrade, the settings related to that upgrade will save but they won’t show up on your blog unless you have purchased the upgrade.

To go back to the free options, go to Appearance → Themes → Customize → Colors and click the “exit the preview” link in yellow at the top of the panel on the right.

  • I can’t seem to be able to find the exit preview link…

  • also my dashboard changes dont seem to be changing either..

The advice to click the “exit the preview” link was a general troubleshooting step and probably not the best advice for your case if you can’t load the Customize page in the first place! I’m sorry about that. I have turned off the preview for you anyway just in case that helps.

also my dashboard changes dont seem to be changing either..

It sounds like we should start with this issue because if dashboard changes are working, it’s possible something you are looking at the wrong blog.

When you created your help request, you selected http://terran21.wordpress.com/ as the blog you are working on. Can you please verify that is the right blog and that you are making changes to the dashboard using this link https://terran21.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ ?

Next, can you please verify your browser and browser version? It can by any of the ones listed at http://browsehappy.com/

To make sure Customize is working, I tested it on the terran21.wordpress.com blog at the link https://terran21.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php using Firefox 22 on Mac OS X 10.8.3 and it worked in my test. If it’s still not working for you, then it could be due to a local browser settings or network firewall issue and I can try to do my best to guide you to a solution. If there’s any chance you can test the Customize page in your blog dashboard from a different location, that would help rule out local network issues or settings as the problem.
