Why do I get an error when trying to change my username?

Why do I receive an error message (Error: Your password is too weak: Looks like you’re including easy to guess information about yourself. Try something a little more unique.) when trying to change my username?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The words in the warning convey the answer to your question. Please accept the information being provided in that message and follow instructions or else you will not be able to proceed. Choose a strong password that is NOT used on any other site you visit or on your email account and cannot be easily guessed at. This is to insure blog security and prevent hacking, which is rampant among those who do not follow security protocol.

But it has nothing to do with my password. The change username screen doesn’t ask you to input your password, just your new username. Twice. Also, as a precaution, as I did pay attention to the error message, I changed my password not half an hour ago and the site itself told me I had a strong password.

Thanks for telling me that. Have you checked your email client spam/junk mail filter for the confirmation email and have you clicked the confirmation link in it yet?

Hi there,
This was a problem that was fixed earlier today – could you try one more time? You MIGHT have to change your password again (if you had to change it once already during this process), but otherwise you should be fine.
Cheers!
