Why does my post not appear in Reader?

  1. This post did not show up in Reader, and I'm wondering why.

The blog I need help with is

  2. None of these reasons for non-appearance seem to apply

  3. I've fixed the problem and your posts should show in the Reader in the future. Apologies for the inconvenience.

  4. You truly are a Happiness Engineer! Thanks.

  5. You're very welcome. :-) Happy blogging!

  6. Again today. My post does not appear in Reader. What am I doing wrong? Should I repost?

  7. Hi there - I've refreshed your feed - could you please let me know if that did the trick?

  8. Yes. Thanks. Something I'm doing? In other words, just me not seeing it due to need to refresh?

  9. No, there's nothing you could have done - it was a technical glitch at our side. Sorry about that!

Do let me know if it happens again.

  10. I will! Thanks for the quick reply/fix. I'm quite impressed, actually!

  11. Glad to help. :-)

  12. And again today... :-(

  13. Hi there - I checked your feed both here - - and using one of our internal tools, and I'm seeing your most recent post:

“Ross’s Wonky Drawer of Stuff” Contest Extrava-give-nza!!

I also just followed your blog and am seeing this post in my Reader:

Is this the post you're referring to?

  14. No, and I just realized it gets weirder. I published a post this morning but it's listed that I posted it two days ago (!). Weird. I must have hit some kind of calendar doodad.

I'm just deleted and reposted. It's showing up. Sorry to be a bother.

    Thanks again.

  15. No worries. If you have further trouble in the future, just provide a link to the post in question and I'll have another look.

  16. OK. I'll look before I leap next time. Thanks.

  17. Me again. Hit publish for this ( this a.m. just before 9 a.m. Not in Reader. I go back to the dashboard, and it says it was published 12 hours ago. Changed the publication time to 9:00 a.m. today, and it's showing up. So nothing to fix today. But am I doing something wrong in the editing process? I'm not touching scheduling at all.

  18. Hi there, that does sound odd. Times on posts shouldn't normally change on their own after you've published them.

The next time something like this happens, would it be possible for you to take some screenshots (JPEG, PNG or PDF format) of the date oddities so we can have a look?

Here's a guide on how to make a screenshot, if you're not sure:

You can upload them to your media library so we can investigate.

  19. OK. Thanks.
