Why does the reader show the same posts over and over?

Quite recently my “reader” changed the way it shows the blogs I’m subscribed to. Now it repeats the same entries over and over, so that I really have difficulties to look at older posts. It seems to be that, as soon as I click on either “like” or “read more”, the reader loads itself again, though not just what has been shown there before only but adding all that a second time, and then a third time and again and again. That not only keeps my internet connections busy all the time, but it also slows down my computer as the CPU is kept busy at 100%, which makes me unable to do anything else, not even scroll or click on anything. It doesn’t matter, btw, which browser I’m using. It happens with Chrome, Firefox and MS IE.
It’s ABOLUTELY ANNOYING as it can now take up to 15 minutes or even moire just to see maybe 5 new entries in my reader.

I’m sorry yopur experiencing these issues.Before creating new threads, which can fall between the cracks, it’s always best to search.
Rather than posting into more than one thread on the same issue, which can also result in falling between the cracks please, post into only one.
When posting into any thread for technical assistance post what’s relevant ie. your operating system, browser details and a description of what you are experiencing. (Note that posting over and over into the same thread or into multiple threads only to commiserate with others is not helpful.)
Post only into this thread which is tagged for Staff attention https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/reader-doesnt-load?replies=37 so we can keep all bloggers experiencing Reader issues together, as I’m tagging all the other threads for closure.
