Why doesn't the Like button appear on my blog?

I use the Blogum theme. I would like to have a like button and the “likes” I got appear on my page, How do I do that ?
How do I make the comments appear?

The blog I need help with is yaninazaslavsky.wordpress.com.

See here please enabling sharing buttons > like button
This page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
We can also overide the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any post or page.

Note: unless you use the P2 theme which is a Twitter-like theme, the front pages of our blogs showcase content and comments are collapsed on that page. The way the comments function is coded into the core of WordPress. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page will display on their own page where all comments display below them.

In a new blog one does not have many posts or comments. In an established blog if the comments did not collapse on the front page it would become a mile long in no time flat and page loading time is a page ranking factor. We have only seconds before visitors refuse to wait and click out.

P.S. I can’t see the buttons on the front page.
Make sure to select “Posts and index pages” for “Show sharing buttons on” setting.

Thank you time Timethief your time :)
I still do not see my like button
    I have in Setting->Sharing
The “Show a like button and who has liked my post on all of my blog posts above the comments section”
All items checked in for “Show buttons on” (4 items)
And the like is enabled for this specific post (in Edit)
    Do you see it ?

    thanks Yanina

The Like button shows up only when you view a single post, not when you view your blog front.

Thanks! now I see it !

Is there any chance that the Like button will be moved to the blog front page? I think there is a likelihood that people who aren’t selecting the individual post to comment, might “like” the post if that option was presented on the front page of the scrolling posts.

I want my visitors to actually read the full post before they click a “like” button. Moreover, I only want them to click it if they truly did like the post. If the like button was at the top of our posts on the front page then we could be faced with “like” button clicks that are meaningless metrics as those who clicked them may have not read the entire post.

I don’t mean at the top of the post. My home page shows my full posts and under them is a rating button and share button, but no like button. They only see the like button if they select “comment.” I think the like in the same area would be helpful as many times, you might not have a comment, but you would “like” a post. I often find myself wishing I had a “like” button in real life like that Staples, “Easy” button. LOL! So, that’s what I meant. At the bottom of the post with the share and ratings buttons that are visible on the home page if you choose that option for the setting.

We do have an Ideas Forum where we can post suggestions for Staff to consider changes to features and functions. If you would like you can post a thread there for their consideration.

    Okay. Thank you!

    You’re welcome.
