The theme has a flexible width and a “responsive” layout: it changes to adapt to different screen resolutions and devices. Scroll down to, say, the middle of the post and see what happens when you drag the browser window to make it narrower. This is one of the reasons why you cannot do what you’re looking for just by entering a bunch of paragraph breaks.
When you want a series of images with some text next to each image, what you need to do is cancel the wrap-around effect where appropriate, so that the following image/text pair will start below the previous one. Switch the editor to Text (=code) and add this code after each accompanying text: <div style="clear:both;"></div>
(And delete all the useless paragraph breaks.)
