Why is my blog not displaying properly?

My blog’s central column background which is white, has disappeared. The text is all still there, but the central column shows up as patterned, which makes it almost impossible to read. I haven’t reset or changed anything, this just happened spontaneously just now. whilst I was editing my most resent post.
I’ve cleared cache and cookies and logged out and back in again and its still the same.

Oh, and my sidebar has disappeared too.

    Hi modflowers,

I’ve fixed your sidebar issue. Sometimes there’s a glitch in the way the page’s HTML is rendered that causes that problem.

To prevent this from happening in the future, I’ve gone to your Settings > Writing and checked the box:
” WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically”

I’m not sure what’s going on with your background, as it is appearing properly for me. If you’re still experiencing that issue, could you first try a different browser such as Firefox or Chrome to see if that resolves the issue (so we can see if it’s your browser), and if not, could you upload a screenshot of what it looks like to you into your media library?

Hi thanks for responding. I deleted my patterned background so that people could still read the blog, so you have now fixed the problem – I can just reinstate the background pattern now!
