Why isn't my blog showing up in the reader, even when tagged?

My blog used to show up in my reader, and now it doesn’t. I have searched tags I know I use, and my posts do not show up. Even posts that have shown up in the reader before are now invisible. I’m concerned that people won’t be able to find my blog, if my posts aren’t visible in the reader even when tagged.

The blog I need help with is teenchange.wordpress.com.

    mine too…

Same problem here with http://kenlblog.wordpress.com. I’ve already tried posting in this forum twice, but have not received any response. I’ve read the Support page regarding Topics, and my blog certainly isn’t posting mature content, and I don’t use more than 15 tags. My blog is also public.

    Thanks in advance.

    1. the topics reader is not an absolute, sometimes it messes up, sometimes WP is playing with it, sometimes stuff happens.

    2. If you’re using a common tag, like ‘photography’ or ‘reporting’ or ‘stuff’, you are competing for space with 25 million other WordPress users. Your work can go from page one to page fifty in twenty minutes.

    3. Don’t rely on the ‘reader’ too heavily for readers. The best way to get comments and hits is to use the tags to find blogs / bloggers who have similar interests, and start a conversation with them.

All that said, if you can leave a link to some of your posts you’re concerned about, it’ll help narrow the problem down.

Some of my tags are common, but others are unique. For example, I tag a few of my posts under the topic “Remarkable Teens”. When I search Remarkable Teens in the Topics Explorer, this message comes up:
“Don’t see any posts under the topic you searched for? That’s because there are no posts with that topic yet; maybe you should write the first one.”
Except that isn’t true, because I’ve written three so far with that tag, so those three posts should show up. Here’s a link to one of them: Remarkable Teens: Landon
But it’s more than those three posts. I can’t really identify specific posts that I’m concerned about because NONE of my posts appear in the reader. It’s like I don’t exist.
I do visit other blogs and comment on them, but I have still noticed a significant drop in my hit stats and visitor activity on my blog since my posts disappeared from the reader, so it does still bother me that this happened.
I understand that the reader isn’t absolute, and if it’s just a matter that sometimes “stuff happens,” I would like at least to know that someone’s trying to fix it.

Please read the information here and then act on it > http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts
Note: It will take several days after you edit and remove the excessive Categories/Tags before your posts will begin to appear on Topics pages.

teenchange, there was a slight problem. You should show up with your next post.

kenl315, your blog is showing up, but it would help if you weren’t posting to “Uncategorized”.

    Thank you!

    You’re welcome!
