why my website does not appear on google search?

  1. Hi. My website dos not apper on google search. The website is already verified on google webmaster tools. Can you help me?

The blog I need help with is andecomigo.wordpress.com.

  2. Webmaster tools should show the progress of pages being indexed, so I suggest you have a look in your Webmaster tools. Google does do this quite slowly I'm afraid, we're often talking about weeks or months. So patience is required in seeing your pages in Google search.

If you've set your site your "Site Visibility" in
    Dashboard --> Reading
To "Allow search engines to index this site"
AND successfully added (& verified) the Google provided token in
Dashboard --> Tools --> Available Tools
then you have done everything that can be done in WordPress.com :)

Any other questions you have would be something you'd need to ask Google directly. Basically, WordPress.com does not operate Google's search engine, Google does ... and this is the support forum for WordPress.com users.

  3. PS my blog took weeks and months for all pages/posts to be indexed :)

  4. Your site also appears to be very new, with only three posts. It can take several weeks to be indexed by search engines before it appears in searches. Keep posting new content and be patient.

    Good luck with your site.

  5. WordPress.com automatically supplies sitemaps for our blogs to search engines - we do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/#xml-sitemaps-for-search-engines

It can take weeks for search engines to index content in a new blog and/or to re-index content under a new URL. What attracts search engines is unique content in posts (not pages) that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. Start now publishing original content posts frequently two or even three times weekly. For more information read > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/21/omg-i-cant-find-my-blog-on-google/

  7. Hi all, I have the exact same problem. I hear all your advice. Still some questions as I am new to wordpress.

Q1) I selected the post date to be 2006 and actual posted it say 2 weeks ago. Reason being is because that travel blog is in 2006 trip. Does it mean search engines still take weeks & months due to my posting time = 2 weeks ago?

Q2) I publicize in FB & Google+. I search in Google Chrome. My Google+ was out. But my wordpress blog standlone hosted in wordpress.com did not appear. What is the problem here again?

Reading is all searchable by engines. I just went to verify with Google on my website last night. Was that the reasons?

Q3) Plug In not found on my Dashboard Administrator. Ok I googled and found out because I am wordpress.com hence, no plug in tab. How to have plug in option? Does it require me to buy a .me or .net from WordPress?

One interesting scenario I had which I also do not get it. Please help if you guys know why. I was a guest blog for my friends's blog. I also later published my own in my own blog (started later). I went to google it. Only my friend's and my blog via Google+ appeared. My own blog did not appear with the same EXACT Subject/Title. Why?

  8. @juliachan11 - I think overall you "Just have to be patient" which we already explained. Obviously make sure you've followed the help guides and made your wordpress.com site as "search engine friendly" as possible.

Q1 - I don't personally think this will make much difference to when it will appear on Google. However there is a theory that posts get "aged out" of Google based on date. But that is outside the scope of this forum, this forum is for WordPress.com support, you'd need to ask Google about how they and when they index pages (etc) and on what basis.

Q2 - I don't know, perhaps FB & Google+ pages get indexed earlier than your own site ...

    Q3 - You don't have the option to add plugins to WordPress.com blogs ( unless you're a VIP paying $4000 a month, which you aren't ! )

If you want to monitor the status of pages that are indexed in Google the best way to do this is to setup Google webmaster tools. @timethief already provided the wordpress.com help page - https://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/

Google have their own support pages too.

Bing also have a webmaster tools, as do yandex ...

If you've done everything we've told you and you've followed the guides and done everything there too - YOUR PAGES WILL APPEAR ON GOOGLE, eventually. People on this forum can't really help with how long they take to appear, this is not a google, yandex or bing SEO forum ... moreover WordPress.com has no control over how long Google takes to add pages into their index.

    Cheers
