I noticed that I have no related posts on my blog. The few times when I did get them they didn’t stay. I would like to have this feature. Seems like at least some of my posts should pull them. Any suggestions?

The blog I need help with is ldawkins.wordpress.com.

Go here and activate them > Appearance > Extras
__ Hide related links on this blog, which means this blog won’t show up on other blogs or get traffic that way
    Click “update extras”

I currently have the box unchecked because I want them to show not hide. Are you telling me to check the box? (Thanks for replying)

No The box ought to remain “unchecked” if you wish to have possibly related posts to display. That being said do note that there are not always possibly related posts available for display. Also note that the data comes from a widget and all data in widgets is cache and that means there can be time delays until a display appears.

Setting that issue aside you have a much larger issue to address. You are inadvertently “spamdexing” ie. overusing tags and/categories. If you have heard that “more is better” that’s utter nonsense. “Less is more” applies to Categories and Tags. We use only the minimal number of relevant Categories and Tags on any post. See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/global-tags/#missing-posts

Thank you! I will correct that and see if that helps.

You’re welcome. Note that Categories and tags that exceed 2-3 words are useless as search engines will ignore them. Wherever possible use a single word.
