why won't my stats graph load?

    my stats graph won’t load I just get the spinning w thing. I’ve done all the suggestions like refresh and updating flash. So now what? I’m using firefox and its the latest one, so…? Is this just a wordpress bug that either solves itself or not? A lot of ppl seem to have this problem.

    It’s very likely that they are working on something, things usually go glitchy here when they’re doing that, so maybe give it another day or two then if it’s still playing up, come back and ask again. (But be aware that staff here rarely respond to questions at the weekend, it’s just us – volunteers).

    The other thing is, in case you didn’t know, you can have an external stats service on your blog/s. I use Statcounter, but there are loads of other free ones online, just do a Google search for them. So, if you do want to go that route, you can grab the HTML code from one of them (you’re not allowed to use Javascript on WordPress.com blogs), paste it into a text widget, and put it in a sidebar or footer. Some have an ‘invisible’ option too so that only you can see it – which is useful for use in themes where a counter would muck up the appearance.

    I’m not experiencing this problem It’s possible that you could have either connectivity issues or browser related issues. If you want to try troubleshooting here’s how to proceed:
    clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
    using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
    updating the browser to the latest stable version (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/
    confirming third party cookies is enabled http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416
    confirming JavaScript is enabled http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654
    confirming Flash is updated http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and if required installing the latest version of Flash http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
    resetting your router and modem and rebooting your computer
    then logging in using the secure https:// log-in see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

    I’ve done all these things. Ive used 3 different browsers on 2 different computers. Still no dice.

    The stats graph has been missing for about a week now. I like to see the graphs, to compare from day to day, month to month, etc. All I see now is the numbers beneath where the graph should be. I keep getting the spinning W.

    Would be nice to get an email message from WordPress, so we would know what is going on.

    You are assuming the issue is at this enad when it isn’t. Please use the troubleshooting tips I posted above and note that I am using Firefox 13 on my PC and I don’t have any of these issues.

    If those troubleshooting tips do not work for you then Staff need to know
    (1) how you are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com. The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.

    (2) exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you don’t know click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/

    I swear I’ve done all those things. My internet access hasn’t changed since Feb when I signed up for WP. I’m using Firefox 13, but I’ve tried chrome and IE. I have internet through my cable provider, but other than that I dont know the specifics of it.

    As I said, the stats graph works on theavocadoblog, but not on ravenlunatick so it makes zero sense to me…

    I flagged this thread again for Staff attenion but the flagging has been removed twice now. I don’t know why that is as there are other threads with stats page won’t load issues and I flagged them all for Staff attention.

    I have the same problem. I am using IE, Firefox, Safari on iPad – connecting ADSL and wifi to home router and across huge work network. Same problem for me. No point WP saying I can get a free blog if it doesn’t work, especially when the difference between .org and .com is supposed to be that we don’t have to fix these things ourself. I have paid money to host using my domain name and that went to WordPress, so I haven’t got a free blog. I haven’t got a fully functional one either!
