I’m having a problem with my “recent posts” widget. When i go to the dashboard and add it to my sidebar when i publish it, it has numbers under it. i dont know what their for. please help. My blog is called asphalt cruisers, http://www.asphaltcruisers.wordpress.com.
The blog I need help with is asphaltcruisers.wordpress.com.
Do any of your Posts have a Title?
WordPress.COM gives a Post a number if you don’t put in a Title – looks like you left off the Title of the Post.
Inside the post they do. We didnt want it to be published twice. QUESTION? How can i keep my post in order with no title.
Every post has a permalink and the structure or our permalinks contain the title of our posts and the date they were published on. I have no idea why you would want to eliminate the title. Will you please expand on (1) why you want to do this and (2) what possible advantage you think having a post without a title would be from an SEO (search engine optimization) point of view?
I’d like to give each post a title. Problem is I can neither center the title, change the font size or style, and the only option available does NOT fit with the style of the blog. If you can offer any suggestions on how to get around this problem, I’d appreciate it.
Separately, I’m finding that, despite the fact that I’ve used the same font size and font style for each of my posts, they all look different when they’re published. Any idea on how to fix that?

These are 4 ways to change fonts on wordpress.com blogs.
(1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/
(2) Changing font colors in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page using the #4 icon (Select text color – change the text color) in Row 2 the Visual editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2
(3) Changing all font families, colors and sizes throughout the whole blog by purchasing an annually renewable Custom Design upgrade and using Typekit Fonts with Staff support. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/
Note: Any font changes to font families, colors and size in the blog title, tagline, post titles, page titles, categories and tags cannot be done without CSS editing.
I’d like to give each post a title.
I strongly suggest that you do that. Edit your posts and include a title then the default numbers will not display and the permalink to your posts will contain the title and date as they should. Posts » Edit Posts Screen
Thank you for the suggestions. My biggest issue is making the fonst in the title smaller & centering the title. Does the tips you suggested also work with the title?

Any font changes to the positioning of titles, as well as changing font families, colors and size in the blog title, tagline, post titles, page titles, categories and tags cannot be done without CSS editing, and that means purchasing an annually renewable custom design upgrade.
Timethief, i have entered the titles and tags. hopefully i can get more traffic on the internet from your suggestions.
Good for you and I’m sure you will. Here are two links to threads that have great tips in them:
