Widgets and Posts Wont Appear in Homepage

I have been running the twenty ten theme for a while now.

But for the past couple weeks, the widgets on the side and a few posts won’t appear on my home page. They appear when I go to another page though.

Most blog posts appear but some disappear. The blog posts that disappear on the home page will appear at first, for a few seconds, and then will disappear…

    My blog is http://openairoutreach.wordpress.com

I have been trying to change the theme to see if that helps, but the same problem occurs with most of them. The widgets have appeared in one or two different themes on the home page, but not the posts that disappeared. And I really like the way everything is set up in Twenty Ten so I don’t want to change it, but only want to fix it.

The problems are the same even when I change computers…

    Any suggestions?

The blog I need help with is openairoutreach.wordpress.com.

I decided to just re-post those blog posts that were disappearing and deleted the original posts. I hoped that maybe the problems were connected and that this would help the widgets appear on the side bar of the home page, but it didn’t. I still can’t get those widgets to appear..

The widgets have been forced down below the bottom of the content and this is most often caused by an HTML error in a post. Go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and save.

Open http://openairoutreach.wordpress.com/2013/02/26/sharing-your-faith-conference-theology-consistent-with-evangelism-jesse-morrell/ in the editor, make a minor change such as adding a space and then deleting it and then update the post and your main page should go back to normal.

On a different subject, you are using far too many tags on your posts. Using more than 10 or 12 will get you excluded from the WordPress.com global tags pages, which can increase your readership and also improve your standings in the search engines. Secondly, using so many tags will get you branded as a tag spammer by the search engines and they will then simply ignore any tags you put on your posts, and in some cases may mean they will quit indexing your site entirely.

It is best to use 10-12 very carefully chosen tags and to keep the total number of tags and categories assigned to a post around 12 or so.

Excellent thank you. That fixed it. And thanks for the tag information. I didn’t know that and that helps a lot.
