widgets and sharing issues
My theme states that it has 7 widgets to configure (Theme Able with 7 Widgets), however, it’s only showing me 2 widgets sidebars to configure, left sidebar and right sidebar.
Is there a way to add the remaining widgets, or is there a way to add widgets even if the theme does not have them?
I mainly would like to add the footer widgets, at least 4 for the footer.
Also, the sharing buttons are not showing up on one of my blogs. They’re showing up just fine on other blogs, except for one. In the “sharing buttons” “available services” only PRINT and EMAIL are available. how do I add the services of FB, Twitter, etc…?

The blog I need help with is sandiego411.wordpress.com.
You have a protected blog, so volunteers in the forum won’t be able to help you except to say that naturally sharing options are disabled on a private blog.
Thank you, the sharing issue is resolved now. I appreciate the info.
I just made the blog public for a little while until I resolve the first issue, which is the 7 widgets that are supposed to come with the theme are not showing up in the dashboard, except for 2 of them, left and right sidebar.
Any idea how I can add footer widgets so I can customize them? or at least add the remaining of the 7 widgets that are supposed to come with the theme.
The 7 widgets noted on your dashboard is not a limitation. It’s a reflection of how many widgets you are currently using. There is no limit. The widgets do not “come with the theme”. They are available to all of us. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/topic/widgets-sidebars/ The Able theme which I am also using is not designed to have footer widgets.

If you want a theme with footer widgets see > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/02/26/sidebars-and-other-widget-areas/
Also, the sharing buttons are not showing up on one of my blogs
I just realized where the count 7 widgets is coming from. So please ignore that.
I do, however, want to add a customizable footer widget, which this theme does not have in the widgets area.
Any idea how I can add the footer widgets, at least 4 separate widgets for the footer.
Thank you timethief!!!
this is a muti-user blogging platform. Every blog wearing the same theme is using the same underlying template. We bloggers cannot edit templates or themes here at WordPress.com. Only Staff can access and edit and every edit they make affects all blogs using the same theme. That why I provided this link > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/02/26/sidebars-and-other-widget-areas/
If that doesn’t suit you then you can hire a web host, set up your own self hosted WordPress.org install and hack any theme you choose to. Read about the differences here > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
