How can I get widgets to appear in posts or categories? I understand how to get widgets on pages and my home screen, but a post that is relating to a category that I have on my menu doesn’t come up with any widgets when I click on the actual post. Do I have to enter in come css code to every html post to get them to come up? Thanks for the help.

The blog I need help with is itbeganinaballoon.com.

    Hi there,

For the Watson theme, widgets are displayed on pages and category archives. You can see an example of the latter here:

However, widgets are not displayed on individual post pages. The Watson theme uses a full-width page template for individual posts, so it is not possible to enable widgets on those pages.

If you would like to have widgets on your individual post pages, you could look to switch themes. Bromley is a theme that looks somewhat similar to Watson but features widgets on post pages as demonstrated here:

Let me know how you would like to move forward!

thanks Jeremy, ill try and sort through more themes

Sounds great! Please let me know if you run into any issues or have any additional theme questions.

I do have one other issue that is coming up. Under my custom menu I had a sub menu under Preperations. I changed it to a draft and it didn’t go away, and then I deleted it, and it still is there, and if you click on it it just says nothing found. Is there anyway I can get rid of it?

You can remove that submenu from your Menus page here:

Just click on the page you want to remove to expand the tab. Then, click “Delete” at the bottom of the box. The “Remove” option is explained here:

Let me know if you have any trouble!

thanks for the reminder, forgot about doing that, have a good one!

Not a problem! Let me know if you run into any additional trouble.
