Wont let me cancel Premium free trial.

  1. I took the free trial and tried to delete it today as I will be charged £70 on the 13th. I want to revert to my free domain name and carry on with the free services available. However when I went to cancel it says I still have to pay £12 pounds for my custom domain name, even though I switched back to my free .wordpress one. There is no option to just delete the custom domain which is simply, I don't want to use it if it means i will be charged (Not that I think the services aren't worth paying for, its just I have no money).

    So basically I can't cancel my free trial as I will be charged for the other domain name, which i don't want to, and no longer use, but I can't delete that so it's going to charge me 70.

    Is there anyway to stop this?

  2. You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog's dashboard to access Store.

    You can confirm your billing history at > Dashboard > Store > Billing History and that's where the transaction numbers are found.

    You can cancel trial upgrades under Store → My Upgrades in your dashboard at any time.

  3. Thanks for replying, but I've already done this. I'm signed in as I presume the admin as I have no other usernames or account associated with the blog, I go to store - My Upgrades - try to cancel and then it wont let me. It states that if i cancel i will have to pay £12 for the domain name even though I have switched back to the standard one that you get for free, and don't want to keep it.

    And even though £12 is better than £70 I don't want to pay either, I just want to cancel. Perhaps I am reading it wrong though, If i accept that I will have to pay £12 when cancel the free trial and click accept, can I then cancel my custom domain?

    Sorry about the trouble you're having. I'd be glad to cancel the domain for you, however, it's important to first point out that once it is canceled, there is no guarantee that you can get it back.

    I want to cancel my free trial now, I have tried multiple times but the system says "Upgrade not cancelled and refunded. There was a problem refunding your payment. Please contact support."

    I don't want to be charged the USD99 when my free trial ends in a few days.

    Pls assist in cancelling my free trial immediately.

    Hey! I can certainly assist you in canceling the Premium upgrade. However, please bear in mind that if your domain is also canceled, and you may have some difficulty in getting it back.

    You do have the option to keep the domain and be charged a minimal annual fee of $18. Let me know how you'd like to proceed. Thanks!

  18. Hi. I am having the same problem. However I had the Premium and Domain name for a year and now I just want to cancel the Premium Upgrade and keep my free wordpress blog. WordPress will not allow it. What do I do.

    Your issue is not a premium upgrade 14 day trial issue. Your issue is an expired domain upgrade issue. Please click this link and post your own thread.

  20. Hi, I also want to cancel my free trial for the same reasons. I have been using the 14 day business plan trial $299 and it's not for me. I've followed all of the above mentioned steps to do this myself with absolutely no luck at all. My site is:

    Can you please let me know once this has been cancelled? I definitely want it deleted for good and no charges applied.
