    Help me friends,

The blog I need help with is

  2. If your blog is hosted on WordPress.COM, you can only use the themes available from your Dashboard>>Appearance. You cannot upload themes.

  3. And please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here (or link your nickname to your blog as explained in the Sticky "8 Things to Know").

  4. the themes available are just so few.
why can't the ppl in charge do something about it?

  5. I agree, there definitely needs to be some new themes. Also, what happened to the old set up? You were able to change the placement of widgets, change the text in the title and change the background color, etc. There used to be a lot more customability in the free accounts than are now.

  6. I am having the same problem ushaas, I purchased the Black Canvas theme from Revolution 2 and have no idea what to do now. can anyone help? cheers

  7. See Jennifer's reply 4 above yours.

    Have I mentioned that I'd like a pony? ;)

  9. Ponies cannot be installed in blogs EXCEPT through use of the Vodpod button. Be sure the pony's owner has enabled embedding, though.

  11. @nkyoung, you can still re-order widgets, change the text in the title, and (in some themes) change colours. Customisability has not been reduced.

  12. Can you change the text color's within the theme? I love the black background but hate the orange lettering!!! Doesn't match my personal theme to all my other sites, can I do this or should I use another blogging site?

  13. You can only change things like font colour by purchasing the CSS upgrade. It is only worth doing this if you have some knowledge of CSS and are confident you can make the necessary changes.

  14. You need to give us a link to your blog so we can look at it first.

  15. Hey guys! I am very new at this too but I have read that you can upload WordPress themes to your dashboard via FTP. So there is an option to use different themes that the ones posted here. Does anyone know how to upload them?

  18. @russiantahara & amolchavan: Hi, but please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here - or link your nickname to your blog as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know. We usually need that to give a relevant answer.

@russiantahara: In a wp.COM blog you can only select one of the themes available under Appearance>Themes.

@amolchavan: Gladly, once you start asking specific questions.

Hi, I would like to know why wordpress has so few 3 columms themes?

  20. sociologicahumanitatis,

And, I'd like to know why wordpress has so many themes with so much (bright) green?
    And none with ponies?

Keep in mind that most people answering questions here on these forums are volunteers: your fellow bloggers. We don't have any more access to any decision-making that is done for than you do.

If you have themes you would like to see at, here is a thread to post your ideas in:
