WordPress access through Go Daddy Hosting Services
-
I cannot log in to my wordpress account from my GoDaddy website hosting service. I am able to get to the wordpress login, but when I enter my username and password, it gives an “invalid user name” error message. I don’t have this problem when I log in directly on the wordpress.com site. I can get in perfectly. I can’t seem to get this solved by either Go Daddy or WordPress customer support. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

You’re in the part of wordpress that doesn’t use outside hosting companies, so you need to ask at wordpress.org/support. A forum sticky explains the differences b/w wordpress.com and org.

I am not sure what you mean by the domain mapping services? I had Go Daddy install wordpress. The software has been installed. I went to WordPress.org and registered with a username. They said that they would send me a password, but I haven’t received it yet?

Check you email spam filter. The reply from wordpress.ORG may have gotten caught in your spam filter.

Have spent a whole day trying to get technical support from Godaddy, but to no avail. They have screwed me up for over three months without effectively hosting.
Have spoken to over 6 guys and none is sure on what to do with hosting my wordpress.com site. Am extremely angry with them. They told me they do not suppport wordpress… I should go get a WP developer to help.
Godaddy sucks! This is unacceptable.

If you have wordpress installed at GoDaddy, then you are using the software downloaded from wordpress.ORG, and need to inquire over there at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ .
This forum is for those hosted here at the wordpress.COM free hosting service, and we are unfamiliar with the software from wordpress.ORG.
That said, I know of several people using wordpress on GoDaddy, so it can be done, it is just that they don’t want to be bothered to figure things out.
