Yes, but it took me three tries to get into my dashboard. Quite unusual.
It looks like there are intermittent problems affecting people in some locations. Possibly an issue at a major bandwidth provider. It’s upstream from us so we can’t really tell what’s going on.
I’ll say it’s horribly slow in South Korea (using Korea Telcom). Also seem to have trouble with loading stuff from gravatar.com.
I live in Belgium and I’m also having problems. De avatars indeed seem to cause the delay.

The problem does indeed seem to be affecting gravatar more than wordpress.com. But both are up, the problem is a traffic problem somewhere on the internet.

Barry rerouted the internet backwards through time, so with a bit of luck the situation should improve.
Please, just not far enough back that I have to use my 28K modem!
Howdy. Just an update. We are experiencing some network issues upstream of one of the 3 data centers in which WordPress.com is hosted. The problem not only affects traffic between you and the servers, but also between one of the other datacenters and this one. In order for WordPress.com to work correctly, the datacenters need to be able to communicate with you as well as each other. As a result of this problem, we have routed traffic away from the 3rd facility. It looks like between 7-10% of the total traffic inbound to WordPress.com is being affected by this problem. So its a small %, but if you are in that group of people, its not fun. Believe me, I know, I am one of them.
We are in the process of working with our network providers to either resolve our route around the issue in its entirety to restore full service. In the mean time, you may experience one or more of the following:
1) Slow access to your blog or dashboard
2) Gravatars loading slowly or not at all
3) Problems with uploading files
As soon as I have more information, I will post it here. Thanks in advance for your patience.
The network issues have been resolved and everything should be back to normal.

Are the stats sections currently functioning properly? There are fresh comments coming in, but no new reported traffic over the last hour.
My stats page hasn’t updated for over an hour. Sitemeter shows continuing traffic but the stats page isn’t reflecting it.
