WordPress Fatal Error at function: wp_privacy_anonymize_ip
I received the following error after attempting to update Wordfence Plugin to the latest version:
The Plugin ‘Wordfence Security’ needs an upgrade (7.1.4 -> 7.1.6).
However, the update failed and upon logging into WordPress and going into the Dashboard, I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_privacy_anonymize_ip() in /home/content/31/11918431/html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-community-events.php on line 267
I am unsure how to fix this problem, if someone can please shed some light on this issue?
Unfortunately, you are posting to the wrong support forum. This is WordPress.COM support where we provide support only for sites on our servers. You will need to contact your web host for hosting issues and to post to https://wordpress.org/support/ for support.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
For hosting issues contact your web host. For software issues post to wordpress.ORG support.
