wordpress footer at bottom of screen

  1. How do I get rid of the watermark-like (semi-transparent) wordpress footer that is at the bottom of the screen on so many blogs (mine and those I visit)?

And how do we tell wordpress to get rid of them completely? It seriously hinders navigation. You can't just hit page down, because the footer covers up the last two lines of every page.

  2. You can email feedback to support at wordpress dot com. To get rid of it, go to Settings->Reading and deselect "To infinity and beyond" infinite scrolling.

  3. Note: Disabling the infinite scroll feature to get rid of the pop-up in the footer results in a "Load More Posts" tab, and you can't disable that "Load More Posts" tab from appearing and have "previous post" and "next post" links, without purchasing the annually renewable Custom Design upgrade.
