WordPress have taken down one of my posts, how do I get them to put it back?

I’ve just received an e-mail about a Takedown Notice. The post it referes to is describing and idea for a game in a classroom. The material to go with the post is a word document that I made myself. How can there be a copyright issue?! How do I get them to let me put it back on?

The blog I need help with is missfearnley.wordpress.com.

I have flagged this thread for Staff attention. Will you please read this section re: DMCA notices ? http://en.support.wordpress.com/content-theft-what-to-do/ You can review further information regarding counter-notices and the put-back procedure here.

Thank you for your help. It is frustrating and upsetting as I haven’t copied anyone, and my blog is meant to be a rescource for people to find and share new ideas. Someone seems to have gone to great lengths to do this, and there is no way I can do all the stuff required to put it back. It doesn’t seem fair that they can just take it down… It feels like they could do this to my entire blog and I wouldn’t be able to do anything about it! Very upset and angry with wordpress.

Your anger ought not to be directed at WordPress.com as Staff are complying with DMCA requirements. You do have the opportunity to initiate a DMCA counter notice and I suggest you do that immediately.

The information on the site you posted the link for isn’t at all clear and it makes it very hard to know what to do.

If you have a link in the takedown notice to contact our ToS Staff with please use it. if not then Staff will assist you when they enter this thread. Please be patient as they’ll be getting back to you as soon as they can.

Please reply to the email you received to issue your counter claim.
