  Hi,

  I’ve just traslated and validated WordPress.com homepage and registration process into Slovak language. What needs to be done to publish it? Is there any way how to test it before publishing?

  I did it with our account ‘wpsk’ with validator rights. Would it be possible to grant me validator permissions for my primary account ‘savione’? I am Slovak validator on WordPress.org as well.

  Hi savione,

  Thanks for your help with the homepage translation. I’m checking with our developer on the deploy process – I will get back to you on this as soon as I find out.

  Regarding your validator account – May I remove the validator status from your ‘wpsk’ account and transfer it to ‘savione’? Or, is ‘wpsk’ a shared account by multiple users?

  Thanks Naoko, wpsk is shared account for slovak validators. I would prefer to keep it for now. But with the upcoming two step authentication it would be obsolete to have a shared account.

  Hi Savione,

  Sorry it took me a while to reply.

  I had brought this up to our team. Here’s what we agreed:

  We would like to make sure we are providing a great user experience for those who come to our home page and start the signup process (we call it “New User Experience”).

  Currently, the New User Experience flow for Slovak is only about 15% translated.

  Could you help us bringing up the percentage, so new users will feel comfortable when they enter WordPress.com for the first time?

  Specifically, I’d like to see the strings in the New User Experience section
  to be translated at least 70% before we deploy the home page.

  Please find the untranslated strings here.

  I hope you agree – and please let me know when you reach at that point. We’d be happy to open up the Slovak home page.

  Hi Naoko,

  Thank you for your answer. It sounds reasonable.

  We will try to translate all the strings in the New User Experience section as soon as possible. From my experience from previous translations, it can take few months to get there.
