Would like to insert slideshow from existing uploads?

    As I understand it, you can only create a gallery, therefor a slideshow, by uploading pictures in a post. I have also figured out that there is no way to attach an image to multiple posts. So, my question is, is my only option to re-upload the same exact pics to create a slideshow within a post? Thereby having 2 copies of the same pic taking up space in my media library. Is there any way to use existing media library photos in a slideshow without using a 3rd party app? I would really like to conserve space in my library and avoid advertising from 3rd party apps. Thanks.

    Currently there isn’t an easy way to do that, especially if the images are “attached” to another post. If they were uploaded to the media library directly and are NOT attached to posts or pages, then you can go to posts > posts and “attach” them to the post or page where you want to have the slideshow.
