I have been trying to change the URL for my blog. Every time I think of something I want to use, it’s taken. I’ve been looking at these blogs, and all of them, and I literally mean all of them, have one post. Said post is the default “Hello world!” that everyone starts out with, and it’s usually dated at least 4 years ago.
Is there anyway at all WP could start deleting old blogs that are not used? Maybe by sending out emails if a user does not post within a year (or two, or three)?
It’s just an idea. I’m sure I’m not the only one annoyed by this.
WordPress does not delete unused blogs, and if they did, they do not recycle blog URLs so they would not be available anyway. At some point they might have to start recycling deleted blog names, but I highly doubt they will delete unused blogs.
