I am considering changing the theme of my blog (http://hanslcv.wordpress.com/) from Pilcrow to Twenty Eleven.

However, how can I be sure that my images, which now can be clicked and viewed in large size, will survive the move? I don’t want to take the risk that, once moved, my images can only be viewed small, and perhaps I cannot undo the move.

    Or can I?

The blog I need help with is hanslcv.wordpress.com.

Making an image clickable is an option you select when inserting the image, it results in link coding in the post, and link coding has nothing to do with what theme you’re using.

No content is ever lost when switching themes and it takes only minutes to do this > Aprearance > Themes > Select theme > click “activate” when the thumbnail image appears. Sometimes one has to locate widgets previously used. They will be in the Inactive Widgets box here > Appearance > Widgets darg and drop to install them in the sidbar again, click to open click “save” and click “close”.

The images will remain in your Media Library. Note the theme width is wider on Twenty Eleven than it is on Pilcrow. These are the maximum displayed image widths by theme. These are the sidebar widths by theme.

However, Twenty Eleven has special features and you may want to be clear about how the theme operates before you make the change. On Twenty Eleven when posts are displayed on their own pages there is no sidebar.
