www in URL

    Hi WordPress.

How do I get the www in the url on my wordpress.com blog? I already have another domain (www.praktikanten.dk), but the www does not appear on either and I need it.

The blog I need help with is praktikanten.dk.

Sorry no www in any WordPress.COM address / blog – that is old internet and a waste of typing 3 extra characters – the redirect from www is automatic here

Following up on what auxclass said, know that www is an old protocol from back when everything was under separate server hardware and that’s more than a decade ago now. www (www.example.com) was the web server, mail (mail.example.com) was the mail server, ftp (ftp.example.com) was the FTP server, print (print.example.com) was the print server, etc. These days, everything is run under the web server, making www. redundant and a waste of four characters.

Thank you. My real problem is that google hasn’t registered my blog and I was told that to do that I needed a www in my server?

    What is wrong then???

Not correct, my site has no www and it is indexed

it takes 4 to 6 weeks for search engines to index a new site, and that is only if there is something on the site worth indexing
