Youtube in a “green box” with numbers? Why?

    (I am not an English native speaker, so sorry for some errors in my grammar!)

    I am having some problems with the youtube videos in my blog. The code works well, and the video in fact appears. But strangely, appears also a “box” around the video, with numbers ranging from 00 to 20, and lines with a green/white alternance.

    Initially I thought it was a natural consequence of putting the videos, but when I accessed other Blogs, I realized that this was happening only in mine. (And in any case, these lines and these numbers leave the post “ugly”, to say the least.)

    I don’t why these lines and these numbers are showing. The code was placed correctly. I tried to enter manually, copying directly from youtube, and using the tab “videos” to insert the address. In any of then, the result is the same. At any rate, these lines are still showing. What do I do?

    I uploaded a image on ImageShack showing what I am talking about:

    In the line “I don’t why these lines and these numbers are showing”, please read as: “I don’t KNOW why these lines and these numbers are showing”. Missed one word. o_O

    It doesn’t sound like you’re using the normal YouTube posting procedure for blogs at WordPress.com. Try taking the URL of the video (which you get under MORE on the video page) and putting it in your blog like: [youtube=URL] which is the normal way.

    Also, please give us a link to your blog or a post where this is happening, starting with http.

    [[ “Try taking the URL of the video (which you get under MORE on the video page) and putting it in your blog like: [youtube=URL] which is the normal way.” ]]

    I already tried to do that way. (When I said that “I tried to enter manually,” this was what I was talking about.) I also thought it was a matter of how I was trying to place the code, however, regardless of the way that I put it, the result is the same.

    Maybe Is it a problem with the Flash/plugin on my computer? But if so, why it does not happen to other blogs when i acess them? I am really confused. -_-”

    Your video url should look like this:

    [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/v/lVHpxpFktLM&rel=0&border=0]

    This is the exact same video – the one on your blog. You copy/paste the url and place it directly in the post text.

    It this what you did?

    Oh. There is a border in your url name. That might be it! I do not think you should have that…

    One more time. Your new url: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/v/lVHpxpFktLM]

    Weird: I tried to look at that blog and my browser froze.

    Also: my answer apparently blew up. Oh well.

    I think the problem is resolved. The blogger should delete this part of the url he embedded:

    &rel=0&border=0

    In fact, my URL *was* the “correct” one:
    [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/v/lVHpxpFktLM]

    So, I tried to put the one you said earlier (the wrong):
    [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/v/lVHpxpFktLM&rel=0&border=0]

    And then, I put the first once again, and… Problem solver! o_o

    I still don’t understand what happened, but the problem is solved anyway.

    So, thx guys! ^_^
