I have been an amateur photographer essentially my entire life, getting my first camera when I was eight. I got involved in digital photography in the mid-90s, when the first consumer color printers and hand scanners became available, and bought my first digital camera in 1999. I retired from a thirty-three year engineering and management career in aerospace in 2000. I thought it would be fun to teach digital photography. I have been teaching digital photography courses part time in adult education since then. I pretty much got in on the ground floor in the local area and currently teach several different classes, I developed, for two school districts. In 2006 I spent six weeks cruising Alaska as a volunteer Photoshop Elements instructor for High Seas Computing Services. I am currently part of the Adobe prerelease user beta test team for Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements and Photoshop.
