I'm an thirteen-year-old kid who started training Shorin-ryu karate at the age of five. My best friend in kindergarten invited me to his birthday party at a local dojo and I begged my parents to let me train. I was so lucky to be under the guidance of Sensei Jeff Clark, a 5th degree black belt in karate, a 1st degree black belt in BJJ and a professional fighter with a crushing left hook. He taught me karate, BJJ, Muay Thai, boxing and grappling. Sensei encouraged me to wrestle by introducing me to some great wrestlers who coached me. I’m now in my fifth year of wrestling and it's by far my favorite sport. I've been lucky to work with some of the best coaches in SoCal and it's paying off. In the off-season my sister and I train Judo at the excellent San Shi Dojo. I've also done some boxing, Muay Thai, and BJJ with the great coaches at Team Quest. In the summer we go to visit my family in Japan and we study Gojo-Ryu with Kawasumi-sensei when we’re there. I’m a black belt in karate and hold an orange belt in Judo. I want to keep training, because I love to fight!
