I wrote my first newspaper article as a reporter in 1995 at the age of 35. I have been a writer my entire life. I think the first time I realized it, I was about 16 and sleeping on the top bunk when I woke up with something "writing" in my head. I jumped down to the floor, found a crayon and a brown paper bag to capture my thoughts. That night, I knew I something was different and I've been writing ever since. My blog is about my life and my relationship with God; ideas about life as a divorced, single woman; a mother of five great kids, grandmother of five amazing grandsons; newspaper reporter, ex-wife of a cop; mother of an incarcerated drug addict; and an animal lover. I am not your average bear. I am a woman on the edge. That is what I told my kids when they were little. It's still true today.
